This track was originally written in September 2011 as part of the Jeremiah Saint project but was quickly dismissed as that sound was changing. This song fit all of what the new (at the time) DECAYEDen project was iterating. This is a song about walls and sorrow and the loss of love and self. "We were love, we were death."
lyrics
Distraught
Press start and watch me die
It was the righteous thing to do
I was so lonesomely distraught
Destroyed, retooled
I let the light in for just a moment
I never let you hear my screams
The affect was very damaging
I won't let you hear my screams
Sharpen all of your knives
Stab them deeps inside
We were love were were death
Sharpen all of your lies
Stab them deeps inside
Just another figment in our breath
Have you come to watch me fade
the irreverent things you choose
You built the walls I could not scale
Bound and crucified
The affect was very damaging
I won't let you hear my screams
The affect was very damaging
I won't let you hear my screams
Sharpen all of your knives
Stab them deeps inside
We were love were were death
Sharpen all of your knives
Stab them deeps inside
Just another figment in my breath
Sharpen all of your knives
Stab them deeps inside
We were love were were death
Sharpen all of your knives
Stab them deeps inside
Just another figment in my breath
I am irrelevant
Sharpen all of your knives
Stab them deeps inside
We were love were were death
Sharpen all of your knives
Stab them deeps inside
Just a figment this isn't a test
